Maria’s the 30 day challenge was a blast, really inspirational watching everyone do their challenges. Ever since I started working out with you I realized the importance of functionality of muscle. Your circuit training classes have helped my performance in the Spartan races in ways I never thought possible. The 30 Day Challenge got me better prepared for my next race in November and has taught me so much about myself and how much my body can take. I did one of the challenges over on a day I felt tired, I dug deep and got it done. Many times in life will be like that. You are tired don’t feel like it yet you know it must be done.
I would love to see more guys out there next time. These challenges and classes are extremely good for strength, endurance and functionality of the muscle. Weightlifting is great, I love it! But it’s one way to exercise. Your 30 Day Challenge encompasses every possible aspect of exercises that touches strength endurance, agility and flexibility. What was your biggest lesson learned from this challenge?
“The biggest lesson that I learned from this challenge was acceptance. I’ve learned to accept my body and to stop comparing myself to fit women on magazines or TV. Being fit is not only about tone muscles and hardcore abs, fitness is part of healthy lifestyle that involves feeding your body nutritious food, taking rest when needed, and finding a balance when life becomes overwhelming. For me being fit is a mental, sometimes we focus to much on the way we look instead of how we feel. Before the challenge, I was obsessed with getting a six pack, which is great to have a goal and be driven by it; however, I was missing the big picture of why I am working out and why I chose to eat healthy…because I want to be healthy.
